The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is touting its newest building as a magnet for the country’s top researchers. The Translational Science Research Building, standing four-stories above the corner of Union and Manassas, is a state-of-the-art facility where researchers will study new treatments for health concerns like cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, stroke and mental health.

The 450-room hotel, which is currently under construction along Elvis PresleyBoulevard, will open in October 2016, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for Oct. 27-30.
