The Journey Begins – HBG Travel Scholarship Winners Begin Travels

Last December, HBG awarded two $5,000 Gregory O. Hnedak Travel Scholarships to firm employees Thor Harland and Branden Canepa. Named after one of the founding partners of Hnedak Bobo Group, the competitive scholarship program is designed to help employees make a deeper connection with the company’s core values while broadening their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.‪ We’re excited to share that both our GOH Scholarship winners are on their remarkable journeys! Thor Harland, an architectural designer at HBG is visiting London and Paris to study the interplay between history and progress in design, and how the old and new mix together in the built environment. Branden Canepa, Operations Coordinator for HBG is realizing a decade-long dream to walk a portion of El Camino de Santiago in Spain, which is the ancient pilgrimage route that winds its way to the tomb of St. James in Santiago de Compostela. On her journey, Canepa will follow old country lanes and forest trails along a path that millions have used as a source for spiritual growth and enlightenment over the centuries. Follow Thor and Branden’s travels, observations and photos through links from our Facebook and Twitter pages or you can follow the GOH Travel Blog directly.
