As the second brand extension for Gaylord Hotels, Gaylord Texan features 1,500 rooms inside an all-inclusive, resort destination that rivals major convention players in cities from Chicago to Las Vegas. The Wild West adventure begins at the property entrance to the 1.2 million square foot hotel and convention center. Upon arriving, you saunter through the site’s rolling pasture lands dotted with grazing longhorn cattle and regionally infused design elements, including Texas limestone, wood trusses and lintels, iron, stucco and metal roofing. The resort’s signature brand element, the glass atrium, bears a Texas-sized star visible to planes flying overhead. Inside the four acre atrium, lush gardens and waterscapes celebrate three distinct regions of Texas: the Hill Country, the Lone Star and the Riverwalk.
