HBG Hall of Fame
Entering into retirement on March 31 Ron Johnson joined the elite group of HBG Hall of Famers, those who have made a significant impact on shaping HBG. Ron joined HBG in 1984 as Director of Construction Admininistration, in 1987 he was Employee of the Year, and in 2000 was promoted to Chief Operations Officer/Partner.
Kirk Bobo said it best when he said, “Ron’s retirement clearly leaves the biggest shoes to fill of anyone who has ever left the firm. For any of you who wonder if a single person, not an architect I might add, can make a permanent difference and actually alter the culture in a design firm like ours, look no further than Ron Johnson.”
Ron’s 26 year legacy will be remembered for “his unselfish style of servant leadership and genuine concern for the professional well-being of others”. We wish him great happiness in retirement!
