Goals drive us forward; they provide focus and help us visualize professional and personal success. As a firm, we set annual goals which are aligned with our core vision. Every goal is connected to principal leaders and their teams who strategically work to drive successful outcomes. Our leaders are dedicated to achieving the vision of the firm through annual, individualized commitment plans designed to illuminate their path and connect their passions with firm aspirations. At HBG Design, “connecting passions” is more than a mission statement, it’s how we exceed our dreams and achieve our goals, together.
Developing leaders is key to achieving firm goals. We challenge our employees to seek their highest potential and provide leadership development programs to help them get there.
Envision EDGE. Our Envision EDGE program utilizes accountability to encourage better choices, hard work and discipline so you can achieve any goal. Every employee takes part in Envision EDGE where they learn how to better relate to one another, communicate more effectively and visualize clear objectives so that they can reach their ultimate potential.
Sponsor Program. All employees are engaged in our Sponsor Program which connects firm Principals, Senior Associates and Associates with employees in a dedicated one-on-one coaching relationship. Sponsors are focused on identifying and guiding career aspirations, developing leadership skills and supporting individual growth and success.
HBG Design’s Emerging Professionals Studio – Architecture, and Emerging Professionals Studio – Interior Design. These two employee-initiated programs are dedicated to engaging HBG Design’s young design professionals in structured, yet flexible group mentorship. The EPS programs were designed to encourage professional growth and career advancement by developing a broad knowledge base, promoting collaboration and team building, and celebrating accomplishments and contributions of emerging professionals. Regular meetings are scheduled at least once a month with topics ranging from codes to life-safety and space planning to sustainability, all supporting the path to licensure through ARE, NCIDQ and LEED testing.
Licensing. Employees are highly encouraged to attain licensing or professional certification in their area of specialization and educational background. As an incentive, the firm pays for 100% of registration and annual license/certification fees.
Continuing Education and Training. HBG Design offers in-house training on a wide range of professional education topics, from computer software and technical design skills to product education. As a registered AIA-CES provider, our in-house seminars are approved for AIA credit and can be self-reported. We also support participation in formalized continuing education programs and professional organizations by paying for approved costs, and we help track professional education credits for licensing.
