  • HBG Design Office

    Occupying the entire 23rd and 24th floors of the 30-floor One Commerce Square high-rise, this modern, technology-advanced office space has been configured to perfectly accommodate the highly collaborative, creative and progressive nature of the design industry. Inspired by biophilia and minimalism, all employee workspaces–from principal to intern– have a direct visual connection to the outdoors. Open office layouts, unencumbered external views and abundant filtered natural light create a relationship between the indoors and outdoors that helps positively affect how employees and guests respond to environmental stimuli.

  • University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center Research Complex

    The UTHSC Cancer Research and Translational Sciences Research Complex’s brick, glass, metal and precast facade typifies the look of a high-caliber higher education facility and fits within the urban campus context of new and historic campus buildings. The complex is helping facilitate an interdisciplinary approach between UTHSC’s six colleges of varying specialties and expertise, to break down the silos and barriers and encourage cross-pollination of disciplines and ideas. The project was completed with a joint-venture partner.

  • Renovation to University of Memphis, Billy J. Murphy Athletics Complex

    HBG performed amenity upgrades in the locker room and meeting room of the complex. Designers upgraded overall finishes and furnishings in the new football recruitment meeting room using dark leather seating along with team memorabilia and large scale University of Memphis Tigers ‘branded’ graphics on all walls, providing big visual impact to maximize the design budget.

    Designed and built to meet the increasing need for extended stay housing for the families and patients being treated at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Target House II features 46 apartment-style, two-bedroom living units with kitchen and dining facilities. Other amenities include a crafts room, family fitness room, family activities room, family gathering room, administrative offices, exterior courtyard and gazebo.
